Kunapur, Feb 8: The town police have arrested Manja alias Benki Manja, a resident of Halealive near Koteshwara of the taluk, who was the accomplice of Yama, the juvenile in conflict with the law and the main accused in the incident of stabbing of a student inside the premises of Government Junior college in the town that occurred recently.

There was a scuffle between the students inside the campus of the Government Junior college with regards to the issue of a girl student. As a development of this scuffle, Yama, the juvenile in conflict with the law, had stabbed Anup, student of the college who was entering the college at 9 am on November 29.

The town police had apprehended Yama and produced him in front of the juvenile court. After the inquiry of Yama was over, police gathered the information about others who instigated Yama to carry out the stabbing.

On the basis of information that the police gathered, now Benki Manja is arrested and produced to the court. He is remanded to judicial custody. The town police are conducting further investigation.
