Mangaluru: All-inclusive sports and entertainment facility 'City Arena' to open on Jan 30

Mangaluru, Jan 28: The development of sports and sporting facilities has rapidly improved in India in the recent years. However, such improvements are inadequate compared to the overall development of sports at an international level.

Though developments in sporting facilities have caught up in urban areas, Mangaluru has been missing out on an all-inclusive sports and entertainment facility. In order to encompass these shortcomings, 'City Arena ' a new sports venture comes to city.

The opening ceremony of the exclusive sports theatre is scheduled on January 30 at 5.30pm. Bhaskar Moily, mayor, Mangaluru City Corporation, will attend as chief guest while Prakash B Salian, corporator, Walter Nandalike, founder, Daijiworld Media Group, Lancelot Pinto, corporator , Pradeep Kumar, deputy manager, LODHA Group, Roy Castelino, former president, Konkani Sahitya Academy, Mithun Rai, president, district Youth Congress, Udaya Kumar, civil engineer, C M Fernandes, entrepreneur will grace the inaugural event as guests of honour.



City Arena situated at Kodialguthu, 6th Cross, Mangaluru, is spread over 65 cents of land. It is constructed with the mission to help build and nourish sports culture by providing pro quality equipment and a standard International experience at an affordable price. The sports city is completely designed with modern technology and infrastructure. Futsal, 5-a-side football court, 6-a-side football court, space for bubble football, volleyball and badminton courts are arranged inside the City Arena.

An international level cricket pit is another highlight of City Arena. There are special arrangements for children’s games like Playstation 4 and Xbox one. City arena also provides spaces for indoor fitness activities especially Zumba and related exercises.

The space can be useful for hosting receptions and corporate events. A large car parking area makes City Arena more convenient to the people. It is a new experience that seeks to balance competition and entertainment, while promoting a refreshing and active lifestyle. Irrespective of age, interests or skill levels, there are a number of activities for one to choose from. Be a sports-enthusiast or a gaming-wizard, any time of the year, City Arena has got one covered. A fully equipped City Arena is in city to entertain people with everything it has to offer. The membership is available on monthly and yearly basis.
