SMKC Dubai to present 'Grand Konkan Showers' in Udupi on Mar 3

Dubai, Jan 16: St Mary’s Konkan Community (SMKC) Dubai, after hosting the successful mega event ‘Grand Konkan Showers – 2017’– ‘’268th Wilfy Nite’ in Udupi on February 12, 2017 with more than 8,500 spectators. is gearing up for another major event this year.

SMKC Dubai, in association with Indian Catholic Youth Movement Udupi Diocese, has come forward to present a mega event ‘Grand Konkan Showers – 2019’ – ‘53rd Wilson Olivera Nite’ at Christian Pre-University College Ground, opposite Lombard Memorial Hospital, Udupi, on Sunday March 3 at 5.30 PM in aid of the diocesan projects of the new diocese of Udupi.

SMKC Dubai is a premier philanthropic association in the UAE. It has contributed Rs. 2.25 crore towards the community welfare projects during the past 18 years. The association has been shinning in the fields of Konkani language, culture, education, social service, and the like. It has not only supported the poor and needy but also assisted professional students to pursue their studies.

SMKC Dubai is expecting a crowd of more than 10,000 for this event.
