Udupi: Monkey fever, irresponsible statement by in-charge minister irks public

Udupi, Jan 15: The irresponsible statement of Dr Jayamala, district in-charge minister saying that the monkey fever is reported at places of Kundapur taluk of Udupi district like Siddapur, Hallihole, Hosangadi, Shiroor and other places has enraged the public.

Though no cases of the epidemic are reported in the district, Dr Jayamala has said in her official statement that the monkey fever is reported in the taluk of Kundapur.

The people have questioned the statement of the minister, who is holding a responsible position, in spreading wrong information and causing panic among the public. Widespread criticism of the same is reported in social cirlcles.
