Mangaluru, Jan 14: Two flower vendors sleeping on the pavement near Bharath Mall at Bejai in the city suffered serious injuries after a car ran over them.

A large number of flower vendors have swooped on the city with the hope of doing brisk business on account of Sankranti festival. They were resting on the footpath at night when a car which approached the spot from the direction of KPT suddenly moved over them, leaving them critically injured.

Since it happened at night I guess someone who had enough liquer in situ ,and road was not broad enough for him must have taken the freedom of taking some more place to ride.Otherwise I cant explain why he was on footpath.certainly not to buy flowers.Sad poor vendoors .sometimes it hits only poor.Hope someone had seen the numberplate and the fellow is already arrested.Without pity cancel his licence, punish him and let him pay the hospital bill of these wounded.Wish them fast recovery and good health.Terrific person.

Someplaces in Mangalore the footpaths have disappeared because of the greed of the builders. Someplaces the footpaths are not built according to specifications the footpaths are in level with the carriageway. The corporation is least bothered. Forget sleeping on the footpaths even walking on the footpaths is dangerous.

List already prepared long back to whom to send to pak. Every year go on adding new members to the list. Samjhauth Express running on time. Only keep baggage ready to avoid delay...which affect other stranded people on row.
