Mangaluru: ‘Glorious Bharath Essay Writing Competition’ held

Mangaluru, Dec 13: District level ‘Glorious Bharath Essay Writing Competition-2018’, a unique way of inculcating patriotism among young generation and also enriching their knowledge about the glorious history and culture of our country initiated by Vikas Pre-University College, Mangaluru, was held in Town Mahila Samaja English Medium High School, on December 12. One hundred twenty five high school students from the district of Chickmagalur participated in the competition.

Haripriya , Town Mahila Samaja English Medium High School, Chickamagalur, won first prize, T R Deeksha, Maharishi Vidyamandir, Chickmagalur, won second prize, A S Manasvi, Poornaprajna High School, Chickmagalur, won third prize, and HA Mohammed Uvez Khan and Shraddha Nayak , BGS High School, Moodigere, Anushri Rao, Poornaprajna High School, Chikkamagaluru, won the consolation prizes.



Following the competition, Dr Ananth Prabhu G, director, Vikas Edu Solutions, delivered a session on ‘How to Score 100 out of 100 in Board Exam & What Next After SSLC’ for the students. The same session was also conducted in Bhuvaneshwari English Medium High School.

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Purandara Shetty, distributor, Apollo Tyres, Chikkamagaluru, Laxmeesha Bhat, HOD, Sanskrit department, Vikas PU College, and Rajesh, marketing incharge awarded the winners cash prize and certificates.

Rajanikanth, lecturer in Hindi, and Hanoob KC, lecturer in English, Vikas PU College, coordinated the programme.
