Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates ‘Red Colour Day’ and ‘Pink Colour Day’

Mangaluru, Dec 8: Carmel School celebrated ‘Red Colour Day’ and ‘Pink Colour Day’ recently. Children and teachers came dressed in red and pink on two different days.

On 'red Colour Day', the children were asked to bring anything in red to present at the red corner. The red corner was displayed with different toys, fruits, vegetables etc. The children of LKG gave a stage programme with action songs and dance. They dressed themselves as different fruits, vehicles and vegetables.



The programme was presided over by the principal and vice-principal and the children welcomed them with beautiful bouquet's which were handmade by the teachers.

It was a great and a happy day. Children gained lot of knowledge and everyone enjoyed the day.

On 'Pink Colour Day', children and teachers came dressed in different shades of pink. Teachers had decorated the classroom and the corridors with streamers, pink flowers and balloons.

A short stage programme was given by the UKG students to know more about the colour pink. The programme was presided over by the principal and vice-principal and the children welcomed them with beautiful flowers handmade by the teachers. The programme was compered by the UKG children and it began with a prayer followed by a prayer song and few children spoke about the colour pink. Children sang a song on the colour pink and showed various objects and props. They even danced to the pink colour song. Children enjoyed the programme and were very happy and delighted. They brought an onion each as a part of community service to mark the pink colour day.



A ‘Pinkalicious’ corner was set-up wherein all types of delicious and yummy pink delicacies were displayed. Pink colour wafers and chocolates were distributed to all KG children.
