Kadaba and Moodbidiri to be officially inaugurated as taluks on Nov 25

Mangaluru, Nov 20: District-in-charge minister U T Khader revealed that two taluks, Kadaba and Moodbidiri will be officially inaugurated by Revenue minister R V Deshpande on November 25.

Addressing media here on Tuesday, November 20, U T Khader said," Government has released Rs 10 crore each for the two taluks. Other than the taluk inauguration, Indira Canteen at Bantwal will also be inaugurated and title deeds will also be distributed. During evening, meetings will be held with regard to conversion and revenue department in the presence of officials and local representatives of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district. Issues pertaining to conversion, 9/11, UPR, and master plan will be discussed in this meeting.

“Corporation had sent a proposal to urban development department with regard to the construction of Kankanady market cum commercial complex worth Rs 41 crore and cabinet has approved the proposal,” Khader said.

Frequency tower policy formed

U T Khader informed that the State government has formed a new policy regarding the installation of frequency towers in the state. “We had a discussion with Deputy chief minister G Parameshwar and draft notification will be finalized. Those who are installing the frequency towers need to follow certain rules and regulations,” he said.

First, one needs to register to install the frequency towers by paying certain fee. The fees are Rs 1 lac for BBMP, Rs 50,000 for corporation level, Rs 35,000 for city municipality, Rs 25,000 for town municipality, Rs 20,000 for town panchayat and Rs 15,000 for village panchayat, said U T Khader.

He further said," frequency tower should be set up 50 meter away from religious centres, hospitals and schools. Frequency tower must consist of silent generators. Two redressal committees will be formed; district level committee headed by deputy commissioner and state level committee will be headed by principal secretary.

"Once the draft notification is formed, the existing towers will be given three months’ time to follow the regulations. If any existing towers are found inside the 50 meters, then the tower will be removed. Structural engineer should certify, before installation of any frequency tower,” Khader added.

    Great newss.... who ever owns land at moodbidri and surrounding areas. Every soon there going to be medical college and high profile hospital. 4 lanes of highway passing karkal to mangalore via moodbidri. Moodbidri people deserve this.

    MOBILE TOWERS SHOULD BE MINIMUM 200 MTRS AWAY FROM SCHOOLS AND HOSPITALS.
    WHAT ABOUT RURAL AREAS WHERE THERE IS NO TOWERS......ANY PLAN FOR ISTALLATION....
