Udupi: Python of the size of Anaconda scares people

Udupi, Nov 15: The locals of Kukkikatte near here were in for surprise as a huge python resembling the jumbo snake Anaconda surfaced in their vicinity.

A mammoth python had come to the city area from the forest, searching for food. The python is nearly nine feet in length and weighed 40 kg. This snake was noticed in the compound of Srikant Upadhyaya. Hundreds of people had gathered to see this rare huge python. Some took selfies with the python while others felt excited by touching it.

Srikant Upadhyaya who caught the python said, "This python is seen in my compound for the last three days. As the pythons are engaged in group mating, they are seen in more numbers at a specific place."

The forest officials who visited the spot took the python and let it in the conserved forest. Due to the python, people had a high-drama for more than an hour.
