Udupi: Bhaskar Shetty murder – accused Rajeshwari Shetty gets bail after two years

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (EP)

Udupi, Nov 8: Rajeshwari Shetty, main accused in the murder of entrepreneur Bhaskar Shetty, who was in jail for two years and three months, has been finally granted conditional bail by districts and sessions judge.

Justice Venkatesh Naik, who held trial of the suspects through video conferencing, ordered bail to Rajeshwari Shetty, the wife of murdered Bhaskar Shetty on the basis of rupees one lac bond and surety by her younger sister Roopa B Shetty and relative Mahabala Shetty.

The next hearing is postponed to February 4.

The court has warned that Rajeshwari Shetty should not threaten witnesses, she should be present personally during next hearing, she may not leave the country without consent from the court, her passport should be surrendered within ten days of release and the bail will be cancelled if any of the conditions are violated. The accused is likely to be released in another three days.

Entrepreneur Bhaskar Shetty was murdered on July 28, 2016. The deceased was hit on his head by rod and his dead body was burnt in Homa Kunda. Manipal police, who registered a case, had arrested primary suspects Rajeshwari Shetty, her son Navaneet Shetty, Nandalike based Niranjan Bhat, Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra.

The court had refused bail to Rajeshwari Shetty even though she applied to the court several times. Therefore, she approached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court, which held hearing, directed district court to obtain statements from main witnesses and grant bail to Rajeshwari Shetty.

Accordingly the district court which started hearing in the first week of June this year held hearing of 36 primary witnesses out of 167 witnesses and recorded their statements. It has granted bail now as directed by the Supreme Court.

Other accused in the case, Navaneet Shetty and Niranjan Bhat are still in prison.

@Rita, Germany.Well said but in this case it is simply fooling the public.Otherwise it could have been proved and awarded death penalty. As the money plays an important role,we common people can't expect more than this.In Tulu there is one proverb-that is, if rich people eat the effluence ( human excreta) that is treated as if for their medicine and in case the same is being eaten by the poor, that becomes a big issue and become,he has eaten it for his hunger.Rich people can go to any extent and do anything they wish but poor people can't.Thanks Ritaji,at least you have gone through my comments.

    IN THIS CASE RAJESHWARI AND CO. MAY ESCAPE. FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS;
1.TILL TODAY NOBODY HAS SEEN THE BODY OF BHASKAR SHETTY
2,NOBODY HAS SEEN KILLING BHASKAR SHETTY
3.ONLY THOSE WHO COMMITTED THE CRIME THEY CONFESSED
4.THERE IS NO ANY VISUAL EVIDENCE
5.IN INDIA THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM NEED STRONG EVIDENCE

scientific investigation, evidence collection process is very poor in India. Deliberately kept so by vested interests to keep justice process is weak and long process. Ultimately victim wont get justice he will only forget the crime.only if VIP is victim process speeds up. Eg Indira assassination case and Sikhs massacre.

Although it was well known fact that one day all these accused will be freed. This is what the Indian Judiciary system. In our country you can commit any number of murders without any fear. Because everybody who commit murder or involve in the murder case know that they will be released either of conditional or unconditional bail or lack of evidence.Which is why robbery, murder, molestation, sexual abuses, theft, child abuse etc will keep on increasing day by day.Such is the judicial system in our country. In this particular case of Bhaskar Shetty- an entrepreneur's murder two years ago, granting a conditional bail is really heart wrenching and ridiculous. What else is required for common people like us.No justice."PAISE FEKO,TAMASHA DEKHO".SUBSE BADA RUPAIAH.DUDDIDDAVANE DODDAPPA.MONEY WILL PLAY A MAJOR ROLE.These are all high dramas just to fool the public.Rajeshwari-wife of late Bhaskar Shetty should have been shot dead by this time along with her son Navneet and Niranjan Bhat, who performed homa.

WE ALL KNEW FROM THE BEGINNING THAT NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO CRIMINALS IN INDIA,,
NOW THE NEXT HEARING IN FEB. 2019
USUALLY LAWYERS QUESTION, HAVE YOU SEEN?
BUT HERE NO ONE HAS SEEN THE CRIME..
EVERY HEARING LAWYERS REPEAT THE SAME QUESTION
AND IT SHOULD BE THE SAME FROM BEGINNING TILL END...
LAWYERS ARE VERY SMART, THEY TWIST ALL QUESTIONS
AND MAKE THE WITNESSER CONFUSED FROM ALL ANGLES.
    ATLAST LAWYER WILL CONCLUDE,
MY HONOUR HE IS TELLING LIES, HE HAS NOT SEEN THE CRIME, AND IF NEED BE MATCH ALL THE ANSWERS GIVEN BY HIM AND IT IS A BIG LIE...!!!
I HAVE SEEN INSIDE THE COURT BOTH PARTY LAWYERS ARGUE IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THEY REALLY FIGHT FOR THE POOR..
BUT AFTER THE SESSION I HAVE SEEN THEM HAVING CHAT TOGETHER IN A COFFEE SHOP
I CAN SAY THAT ONE IS FOOL WHO GOES TO A COURT DOORSTEP WITHOUT MONEY

Power will go to the hands of rascals, rogues and freebooters. All Indian leaders will be of low caliber and men of straw. They will have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air and water would be taxed.”
I remembering this now. Thank you Winston Churchill.wel come to RSS india.
