Mangaluru: Trailor and audio of Tulu film 'Pundi Panavu' released

Mangaluru, Oct 31: The trailor and audio of upcoming Tulu film 'Pundi Panavu' was released by Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president A C Bhandary here at Town Hall on Tuesday October 30.

After the release, A C Bhandary said, "Tulu film industry has been putting lot of efforts for the progress of Tulu language. Tulu films are promoting Tulu culture and tradition which is a good sign."

Richard Castelino, producer and director who was the chief guest said, "Making a Tulu film is easy but reaching it out to the people is difficult. There are issues related to theatres and distribution. Tulu film producers' union must find a way to solve these issues."

Dr Sanjeeva Dandekeri speaking on the occasion said that Gangadhar Kirodian has been making films on Bhutharadhane and other social awareness films.

Prakash Pandeshwar another producer said that Gangadhar has turned out to be a good director for the producers by making a film with limited budget.

Kishor D Shetty, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, Suhas Hegde, Keerthiraj Shetty Bengaluru, V G Pal, director Gangadhar Kirodian, producer Ramakrishna Shetty and others were present.

The movie is produced by Ramakrishna Shetty under the banner of Tavish enterprises. Suraj Sanil and Suvarna Shetty are playing the lead roles in the film which is based on Tulunadu culture and tradition.

Popular actors Gopinath Bhat, Raghuram Shetty, Preetham Shetty, Harini, Sathish Shetty, Mohan Bolar, Sundar Hegde, R N Shetty Kalvaru, Jalaja, Pavithra Shetty, Mamatha Shetty, Harish, Rakshitha, Akshitha and others actors of coastalwood are part of the movie.

There will be five songs and the music is rendered by Shivagiri Kalladka. The songs are composed by R S Kalvar and Suresh Devadiga. Prathap Kadri is the assistant director where as cinematography is by Umapathi.
