Kundapur: Bike-lorry collision at Shiroor – youth dies on spot

Shiroor, Oct 24: A young man lost his life when a lorry ht his bike on Wednesday, October 24.

Subhash from Shiroor is the person deceased.

Subhash was working in Bengaluru and had come to his native place to attend a function. He had come to the shop to have tea. When he was returning home on his bike, a lorry hit him and he died immediately.

The pillion rider has been seriously injured.

An accident had happened on the same spot some days back. The bad condition of the road has been blamed for the accidents at the spot and in the area.

Byndoor police are investigating. Lorry driver has been arrested.

    Unless cost for causing an accident is steeply increased both in terms of fine and imprisonment these accidents will never come down. Bad roads can damage a vehicle but only bad driving causes accidents. Blaming bad roads is like blaming railway loco pilot for deaths.
