Smart City Expo to focus on sharing of expertise, knowledge


Hyderabad, Sep 14 (IANS): Smart City practitioners from around the world will come together to showcase innovation and share their expertise and knowledge at the Smart City Expo India in Jaipur on September 26.

The three-day international conference will attract governments, industry experts, policy makers, companies, innovators, entrepreneurs and research centres.

The first of its kind event in India is being organised by Fira in partnership with Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and Quantela Inc, which provides digital technology solutions for the smart cities.

Fira is one of the largest European trade fair organisations that organise numerous trade shows and congresses, including Mobile World Congress and Smart City Expo World Congress, Barcelona.

The key focus areas of Smart City Expo include innovation, technology and digital governance; mobility and urban planning; social development; smart destinations; clean tech and circular economy and smart village.

Adelaide is expected be the partner city from aboard. Mayors from 12 cities globally and urban transformation companies will be among the participants.

There will also be participation of NITI Aayog, Startup India/Invest India and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, which is the nodal agency for implementation of smart cities project.

The event comprises technical sessions, open sessions and keynote speeches.
