Karnataka supported BJP in big way - Yeddyurappa

Bengaluru, May 15 (IANS): BJP's chief ministerial face B.S. Yeddyurappa on Tuesday said that the people of Karnataka have supported the party in a big way in the May 12 Assembly elections.

"People of Karnataka supported the BJP in a big way. Our party leaders will take a decision on the next course of action after the results of all 222 Assembly seats are declared," Yeddyurappa told reporters here.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has so far won 68 seats, and is leading in another 36, as per the Election Commission. The party is eight seats short of the halfway mark of 112 seats.

BJP's CM face Yeddyurappa wins

BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate B.S. Yeddyurappa was on Tuesday elected to the Karnataka Assembly from Shikaripura by 35,397 votes, the Election Commission announced.

Yeddyurappa, 75, defeated Congress nominee Goni Malatesha and seven others in his home constituency. This was the Bharatiya Janta Party leader's eighth victory from Shikaripura since 1983.

Yeddyurappa, the BJP's Lok Sabha MP from Shivamogga district, has lost only the 1999 Assembly election.

Mr.Yeddyurappa says Karnataka supported BJP in big way.
    INC 37.9%
    BJP 36.2% while the
    JDS has 18.4%
    http://www.eciresults.nic.in/

The combined total of JD(S) and Congress is 56.3%. If trend is in BJP favor then 113 simple majority is not difficult despite all the central leadership camped for more than 3 month including PM Modi spent 15 days uninterrupted.

There is likely possible scenario BJP may threaten Congress leader D K Shivakumar with Enforcement Directorate in pending case to join BJP with his supporters to bring them below the majority to form the government.

This is the alternate option for BJP without 'Operation Kamala'.
Karnataka politics going to ugly in coming days.

    You are right.
Congress gained 1,37,27,470 votes where as
    BJP gained 1,30,85,311 votes

means, 6,42,159 more votes for Congress.

So, Yeddyurappa is telling another fresh "Lie"

Mr.Yeddyurappa calculation went wrong from 120 to 104. Now only option 'operation Kamala' is left like 2008.
Is pro BJP Governor will Vala will accept the stakes of JD(S)- Congress or the party will trick like Manipur is awaited?

But one thing I have noticed BJP vote percentage is gradually decreasing. This time also they lost 14% comparing to Lok Sabha. I am surprised how the EVM give majority since 2014 winning maximum seats despite low percentage of votes is astonishing.

It is something our investigative Journalism and national opposition party should work out.

Karnataka supported BJP in a big way .....in ive area's EVM malfunctioning and tampering in a very planned systematic way.(Shiv Sena... your oldest ally for 25 plus years will teach you a lesson in Maharasthra in the next assembly elections and southern 2 to 3 states also in line....no media has shown the recent DAAKHU's car was way laid and stone pelted at a famous temple at Aandhra Pradesh...which no media wants to report.)

No doubt about it Yeddi...you Kaidi...No....

But God has also his plans and stopped both "Jailbirds" from getting absolute majority by putting a brake somewhere down the line and Siddanna won with Badami to see the fun though he doesn't want to be the next C.M for true Kannadiga's pride(who are not sold in the hands of "FEKHU & DAAKHU" by their ill-gotten wealth from Demonetisation & hike in fuel prices(without bringing it under GST ambit) and from Adani's, Ambani's, Nirav Modi & ....Off course how can we forget the famous Reddy brothers of Bellary....the list is long.

    Seculars also has their way.

    Amen.

Surendra Poojari, Mangalore — please get your facts right. The BJP wasn't the single largest party in Goa, in fact the Congress was the single largest party!
    Goa (March 2017)
    Assembly Strength - 40.
    Congress - 17.
    BJP - 12.
But the crooked balatkari/brashtachari janata party (BJP) thugs were invited to form the Govt by the puppet Governor in a post poll BJP+MGP+GFP coalition of prostitutes!

    Same was the case in:
    Manipur (March 2017)
    Assembly Strength - 60.
    Congress - 28.
    BJP - 21.

BJP was invited to form the Govt by Governor in a post poll coalition.

(So much so, 1 independent MLA was detained at Imphal Airport through security agencies & handed over to BJP.)
    -------------------------------------
    Meghalaya (March 2018)
    Assembly Strength - 60.
    Congress - 21.
    BJP - 2.

BJP was invited to form the Govt by Governor in post poll coalition with NPEP+UDP+PDF+HSDPDP.
