Mangaluru, Apr 1: In the case pertaining to barbaric murder of Shivaraj Karkera from Tannirbavi with lethal weapons, three arrested accused were given condition bail by the sixth additional district and sessions court here.
The three accused who were freed on bail are Ajay (20), Vikram (25), and Suman (19). A total of ten persons had been arrested relating to this murder.
Shivaraj and his younger brother, Bharatesh, were rowdy sheeters. The accused planned to murder Bharatesh because of long-standing enmity. When Shivaraj was sleeping at the first floor inside his house in Tannirbavi, the killers had entered there at 4.30 am on January 22 this year. It is said that they mistakenly murdered Shivaraj, thinking him to be Bharatesh.
