Puttur subdivision gets new assistant commissioner

Puttur, Jan 8: The state government has appointed IAS officer, Bhoobalan T, as the assistant commissioner for the Puttur subdivision. Bhoobalan happens to be a 2015 batch IAS officer.

Bhoobalan is a native of Tamil Nadu. He was working as sub-divisional officer of Harapanahalli in Davanagere district before he was transferred here.

The officer had completed his probationary period at Bidar. The post of the assistant commissioner here fell vacant after the previous incumbent, Raghunandan Murthy was promoted and posted as chief executive officer of Kalaburagi zilla panchayat recently. Murthy, who was an IAS officer, has already left for Kalaburagi. The post has again been given to an officer belonging to IAS cadre.
