Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

Dubai, Apr 10: A gang of thieves who took just 31 seconds to loot gold worth AED 2 million has been arrested by the alert Dubai police, within a span of just 24 hours.

As per reports, three masked men gained illegal entry into the gold shop in Naif area on Friday April 7 at around 5 am, stole jewellery worth AED 2 million in just 31 seconds, and escaped to an unknown location.

The thieves, all Asians, were caught on camera breaking into a jewellery shop and running away with the loot.

The Dubai police who rushed to the spot and conducted investigations, succeeded in arresting the gang of five in less than 24 hours.

At a meeting on the operation named 'gold smelting', Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, assistant commander-in-chief for criminal investigation, congratulated the police on nabbing the culprits in record time, especially given the fact that the thieves were wearing masks.

Dubai Police have done a good job as they are well paid. Our police go for 50:50 share business as they are low paid.

    Appreciate whomever you want to.
But do not condemn our police.

Compare an apple with another apple. Check the population of Dubai and just Karnataka and have an estimation in you mind about how many people are monitored by Dubai police and how many are by Karnataka police.

D'souza sir, it is not the low salary which prompts Indian police to compromise with criminals. It is the greed which leads to bribe. Even if you pay hefty amount as salary, the habit of corruption will not leave them. Don't you see our multi millionaire politicians how they still try to accumulate wealth by illegal means ? Greed has no end.

Most all GCC are having finger print data of all citizens. Even if they get one line print from entire palm it is very easy to hunt down the culprits in very less time. Good Job by Dubai Police.

This incidence reiterates the brilliance of Dubai police. Dubai police carried out a wide campaign for installing CCTVs in all establishments.
Here in this case, though the thieves were masked, police could study the body language and cross check the same with earlier visitors to the shop. The thieves were nabbed from the comparatively remote international city within 24 hours.
Every country needs a leader with vision like Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. In India i see it in Narendra Modi.

when I compare Dubai modi sheikh mohammed and India you are comparing the sky versus shamshanghat...seriously I mean...the real problem with india is the politians who say lets do something for poor automatically gets rich ....you know how it feels for local emaratis when they walk around..you will never find one emarti saying something about their ruler...because he loves them so much that he gives them more than he says...and regarding the police of Dubai....they have the best lives, their families get the best facilities ... they make every police man feel that he need not take bribe...if he reports that he gets bribe they will bravry award and give cash and put in news papers...
Just compare people are dying to work for governmental organizations in Dubai...but in india only who can talk will get everything...and the policeman of india ...I really feel sad for them...why people leave everything and settle in Dubai..Because there is security safety and who breaks laws have broken bones according to law in 24 hrs...you cant tell police.

Dubai police is friendly. They caught within 24 hours. In India if Indian police catches within 24 days also our lawyers will not allow them to keep them in Jail. They will take some money and these people will walk freely and judgement will come only after 50 years. Don't compare Dubai with India..... In India you will find 5 percent non corrupt people and in Dubai may be you will find 5 percent corrupts.

chris more over, if Indian police caught some one, we start culprit is minority so 60% police are RSS so arrested him.
I hope this mentality is making police to give poor performance.

Instead of supporting Police force, we support culprit.
See what happend in Udupi, Police constable was punished due to political pressure because he saved his wife.
if it continue, which police will save others?
