Kundapur: Five women injured as decoration lights fall at Kollur temple

Kundapur , Oct 9: Five women were injured and admitted in hospital after decoration lights fell on them on Sunday, October 9.

The incident took place at famous Kollur Mookambika temple. The injured women are Chippi (27), Kiran Kamal (20), Harsha (22), Shilpa (25) and Rema (45), all from Kasargod.

A group of 15 people from Kasargod had come on Sunday morning for the visit of the temple. Later at night, they all came to watch the cultural programme going on during festival. When they were outside the temple gates, decoration lights, which were hung, fell suddenly on them resulting in injuries.

Kollur police have registered a case.

    Why it is necessary to give drips to every patients...light fell on them and they are in pain ..is a injection doesn't help them ? is it required to give it in the intravenous drips??

    They should thank Godess for not more happened as only injurys.Hope they get cured fast.many times electric lights when fall on the persons cause burns severe type depend on how Long they were on and can also due to wrong Fittings and pass electric .Make the responsible Person who decoration hung for it and make him pay for it.
