Gurgaon, Dec 13 (mb): Still simmering with resentment, the Class VIII student who allegedly fired four shots at his colleague seems unrepentant about the killing.

"Yes, I killed Abhishek," the 14-year-old said without a trace of remorse or hesitation when he was produced at Sector 40 police station after the shooting at Euro International School.

The two boys allegedly killed Abhishek Tyagi as 'he was physically stronger than both of them and been beating them up for the past two months', Gurgaon Police Commissioner Mohinder Lal said on Wednesday.

Briefing reporters about their confessional statements, he said the two carried a grouse against Abhishek as he used to 'tease them' at every opportunity so the decided to take 'revenge'.

The boys told police that the three of them were not 'enemies' as they used to meet only during recess and when school closed for the day.

"We are students of Class VIII Section B on the ground floor while Abhishek was in Section A on the second floor," Lal said, quoting the boys who have been sent to a Juvenile court in Sonepat.

Their last meeting proved fateful yesterday, when the two accosted Abhishek in the school premises and fired five shots at him. Two bullets hit him in the chest and one in the head, the CP added.

Killers and victim shared deep friendship: Schoolmates

Gurgaon:  The two accused teenagers in the Gurgaon school shooting case shared a 'deep friendship' with their classmate they allegedly killed and all the three were 'gentle' in nature, their schoolmates said on Wednesday.

A shocked Class VII girl of the Euro International School here, who knew the victim Abhishek, said the friendship
between the three were "so deep that no one could have separated them".

"Actually Abhishek was very gentle and the two (accused) were also very gentle. This accident happened very suddenly. This happened because of some unfateful period," the girl told a news channel.

In a first of its kind shooting in an Indian school, Abhishek was killed allegedly by two of his classmates who pumped five bullets into him shortly after the school -- Euro International -- closed.

Recounting Tuesday's incident, another boy, younger than the three, said he came to know about the incident when his friend asked him to get off from the swing and follow him.

"During the shooting, Karan (friend) said get off from the swing and I followed him. Then I could not sleep at night and I caught cold," the boy said.

Yet another student said Abhishek was "very gentle and his behaviour was good with every child".

School Principal Mamata Sharma said the school did not shirk responsibility in the matter but alleged that parents of the accused children acted in an irresponsible manner.

"Parents should be extra careful. A child does not have that maturity to understand that weapons are dangerous," she added.

'Shocking' is not the word !
