Bangalore, Sep 13: The feast of Nativity of Mother Mary, was celebrated by Indiranagar `Konkani Kutam' at Resurrection Church, Old Madras road, Bangalore on Thursday,  September 8, with a solemn Holy Mass in Konkani  at 7:30 am by Fr Joy Fernandes, S.J., after the blessing of new corn 'Novem'.

The melodious choir conducted by Ronald Mascarenhas with the Konkani hymns, made the Mass more prayerful and meaningful.

The homily sermon delivered by Fr Joy Fernandes laid emphasis on the family values and the quality time to be spent with the family.

After the Holy mass, the devotees showered flowers amidst the sweet strains of ever-fresh hymns 'Sakkad sangatha melyan' and 'Moriyek Hogolshiyam'.  Dr Richard Rodrigues welcomed the gathering before the commencement of Mass and Colin D'Souza thanked one and all with a special mention of those who contributed for the grand celebration.

A hearty breakfast was shared by all the devotees after the Mass.
