Guys, what is important is A family that celebrates togather stays togather". Dubai Konkans are one fly and try to stay togather. meal is corporal thing. What is important is go to mass without any expectation and participate in the liturgy. Instead of hogging for the food, do cook at home and invite your family memebers or freinds and cebebrate in a more meaningful way. Organizers have done good job !! To pass negative comments easy. What is your contribution for the feast ??

Dear All, for every good cause critics always there. Hence just absorb all the comments in good spirit so that the mistakes can be corrected next time. Everyone cannot be satisfied. Cheer up with good christian spirit as Jesus teaches.

Everything was perfect by the volunters but the crowd didnt listen to the volunters. Especially konkani people are saying one by one reason like :(1)My husband is in the church. (2) My wife is wid the kid. (3) i hve knee and backbone problem. This is all foolishness..... If the church is full its not our volunters fault bcuse people knows that there is a konkani mass at 8:00pm so they should cume at prox 6:00pm....

Wish all the viewers Happy Nativity Feast.
We christians are here to comment and blame others. Mr Tauro and Almieda instead of blaming this is poor, that is not organized, As lay minister couldnot you go and sing in the choir and to give your contribution????
Why you both didnt volunteer to help the untrained Vonteers and control the crowd???? Were you in all the three emirates at the same time to compare and to comment????

Lay minister wake up dont pass such rediculous comment for the selfless service rendered by ametures. Encourage and be with them for support not to back bite. Behave like a true christian , Light a candle instead of blaming darkness. Let mother Mary bless you both for your generosity.......

Seems like Mr. Vincent is confused and can clear the confusion by getting himself involved. I was present with my family for the celebration and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was humid which cannot be controlled by humans. Arranging an event like this is a gigantic task which takes a lot of planning, putting in so many hours of voluntary work and energy by the volunteers. We should infact appreciate their efforts and hard work. It is very simple to criticize but takes courage to come forward and organize such events.
Dear Organizers and Volunteers Congratulations for the GREAT EVENT and making us feel at home.

The whole celebration was not managed properly and this was due to the massive crowds.
The crowd was falling over each other for food as if these same people were seeing food after a very long time.
Lots of children were crying everywhere.
    Suggestion:
    1. The church compound should be provided with seating arrangements.
    2. Food should be distributed in packets / boxes at the Exits, so that the whole compound is not crowded and moreover the place is not messed up with litter.
    3. There should be seperate queue for Ladies & kids so that they are spared from the pushing and shoving

Dear Mr. Reevan/Mr.Stephen and all concerned.
whatever you have mentioned may be your personal opinion and should not be binding on others and you should certainly not expect others to agree whatever you say.
what wilfred has mentioned may be his personal opinion and what i have said also my personal experience and opinion. Everyone has their right to express their opinion and views and nothing personal/offending about it.
It is a fact that the whole episode was a total disaster and nobody to blame.
After attending monthi feast for the last 13 years i do not foresee any improvement nor any changes.

Before commenting publicly please ask the previous choir leaders why they refused to sing for the Mother Mary’s feast. God gives talent to share and not to be selfish. Encourage the new talents. One does not become professional within one attempt. Choir did well but sound system was a drawback. Liturgy was good but lengthy. Food and arrangement was good but people did not cooperate. Feast was everyones, Mother Mary was everyones, but all did not think so and they just waited to see only the flaws and not goodness. Grow up people, God bless us. Prakash

Dear Mr. Wilfred, please don't comment about organisation commitee or volunteers. While the people cannot listen the announcements or volunteers then same thing will happen.
While distributing the cake and juice, people act like they didn't had cake till now. People cannot make decipline over there. I saw the adults were more than the children.
When commitee make coupon for food, people say "why they can't give the food free?" and when the food is free, then also people can't stop their comments. I agree counters are less at food section, but people has co operate. After having food people threw the plates around the church and the main hall. They even do not know to them in waste buckets. Only the organising commitee and few volunteers cleaned the church compound. Always do not blame the organisors and the volunteers please. If you have so much interest to make better then please be a part of volunteer next year and try to improve the situation. Thank you.

Mr. Tauro choir was not poor but sound system was. Entrance hymn was not at all heard. After that all hymns were melodious. Unlike every year there was no talent show like solo singing and brand new hymns where people could not sing. Liturgy is about all people’s participation. Most of the people could join in the liturgy this time. It was only the mass was too long, outside again sound system was bad. Agree that previous choir was good with more than a decade’s experience. Give new choirs too a chance and time, they too will come up like oldies! Inspite of having celebration in 3 parishes same time, it was 4000 crowd, its not a joke to control.

I wonder why church’s other Konkani groups, layminisiters did not come or volunteer to help!!? I too was not a volunteer but helped as much as I could to regulate undeciplined crowd of 2000 during dinner. Food counters should have been atleast 6. Liturgy Committee hardly 5 months old, but you did good job. Try to improve. Next year Im sure SMKLM you will do superb job. Let us end this blame game and help each other to grow. St. Mary’s Konkani Community, happy feast to you all.

ONCE AGAIN IT WAS A CONFUSED DISASTER AS USUAL.
    Confusion created by untrained volunteers.
Parishioneers got confused by volunteerS who are a confused lot.
Children got confused because their parents were confused by the volunteers.
Choir was confused by the musicians who got confused by the sudden new singers.
Catering people got confused by the confused parishioners and volunteers adding confusion once again.

wish you all a confused feast year after year after year (confused)

Dubai 8'o clock mass was well attended. All arrangements were good. But the sermon by visiting Priest was a total waste. The notes of sermon were written one and the missing 8th paper stoped the sermon abruptly. Henceforth I request the Dubai Konkani Association to the priest with little more care. People have come to the mass after rushing from the work and those were standing outside have to bear the heat to listen the boring sermon.

I do agree with the comments given by Alwyn Dalmeida. For the past many years Monthi Feast celebrations of Dubai Church is always vibrant and great. But,this year everything was mess up, Poor Choir, Poor arrangements,No proper volunteers, and No other Dubai Priests were present for the mass. Even Food counters were too less for such a big crowd. Only FOOD WAS GIVEN FREE. SMKLM has to do lots of improvements, and they have to bring the confidence of Konkani people together.JMJ prayer group has done a good job.

Once Dubai had such nice good trained professional Konkani choir was there why church stopped them. This year Monthi feast choir was very very dull. Father Frank & Fr Tom please look into this matter. Comparing Jebel ali & Sharjah dubai was very poor.
