Christmas Celebration at Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir

Mangalore, Dec 25: Christmas 'Sneha Koota' was held at Fajir Lady of Mercy Church here on Friday December 24 at 9 pm.

It was organized by ICYM, Fajir. Christmas carols, cultural programme and Cha-Parka Troup's 'Badkudu Orinda' drama was staged. Devdas Kapikad was honoured on the occasion.

Fr Wilson V D'Souza, secretory, Catholic board of education presided while Ravindra Rai, headmaster, Sri Ramakrishna high school, Harekala, was the chief guest.

Imtiyaz, president, Fajir gram panchayat, Sunil Patil, sub-inspector, Konaje police station, Fr Prakash Anil Castelino, president, Fajir Church and Sr Olivia, Superior, Mother of Mercy Convent, John Victor Mendonca, vice-president, parish council, John Fernandez, secretory, parish council were present.

    Happy Christmas to all the parishioners.Congratulations to all the beloved youth and Parish priese Fr. Stany of my Fajir Parish. They have organized such a wonderful event in memory of their International Youth Year on an apt occasion as a Sauharda Koota on Christmas Day under the able guidance of Parish Priest Fr. Stany Pereira. Dear youth keep up this spirit in the days ahead. May your example be a model to youth of other parishes. To you all I wish you a Happy Christmas Season.
