Udupi: Foundation stone laid for renovation of St Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church

Udupi, Jan 8: Foundation stone laid for renovation of St Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church, Kandlur on Tuesday Jan 7,2020 marking the 125 years of existence of the church.

The foundation stone was blessed and laid by Yakob Mar Elias, bishop of Brahmavar diocese, along with Fr Eldo M Paul, vicar general, St Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Cathedral, Brahmavar, Fr David Crasta, assistant priest, St Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Cathedral, Brahmavar, Fr Noel Lewis, Fr Joseph Chaco, Fr P A Johnson, Fr Mathew John, and Fr Srijith Koda.

Fr Lawrence D'Souza along with other priests celebrated the Holy Eucharist.

Fr Abraham Kuriyakos, parish priest, St Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church, Kandlur, extended the vote of thanks.
