Bantwal: Carmel College Modankap hold service activity at Jeevadana Gurpur

Bantwal, Apr 8: The Youth Red Cross unit and the NSS unit of Carmel College Modankap jointly organized a service activity at Jeevadana, HIV/AIDS Rehabilitation Centre Gurpur.

The students entertained the inmates with a cultural programme and conducted games and distributed snacks to them.

The students and the staff together collected some amount and handed it over to the director of the centre. They also contributed food items, nutrition items and detergent soap to these inmates.



It was an exposure programme to the students to be aware of the problems of people, be understanding and compassionate toward them and to reach out to them in love and acceptance.

Sharing with the needy multiplies one's happiness in life. Around 60 students participated in this programme.

Joel Mascarenhas, lecturer in commerce, Pooja Shetty lecturer in Management and Vinitha Veigas lecturer in Business Administration co-ordinated the programme.

Principal Sr M Supriya AC was present.
