Karkala: ‘TNR’ bags 12th place in mega ATV Championship

Karkala, Mar 30: NMAM Institute of Technology’s very own ‘Team Nitte Racing’ secured 12th place in the All India level ranking during the ‘Mega ATV Championships 2019’ which was held from March 18 to 20 in Keri, Goa.

NMAMIT is also proud to announce that it is the first college in Karnataka to be on the rank list.

Over 125 teams turned up and exhibited their all terrain vehicles and their driving capabilities on extremely harsh terrains in front of the jury members. This ranking was secured as a culmination of attaining seventh rank in the Night Endurance Race and 13th in the Solo Dirt Race.



With a core team of 12 members and 13 junior recruits, the team functioned under the guidance of Mohan Poojari and led by student captain Kshitij K Shetty. The vehicle was driven by Karan S Shetty and Karthik V Palan. This successful stint in the mega ATV Championship was only possible as a result of relentless hard work and dedication and overcoming many other obstacles along the way during the last two years.

The team had also participated in ‘Enduro Student India 2019’, held at Talegaon, Pune and had secured an All India Rank of 29 as well as also ranked fourth in Karnataka out of 75 teams.
