Grand closure of Sentia ends fest at MITE Moodbidri

Moodbidri, Mar 29: The twelfth edition of the annual state level intercollegiate cultural, technical and management fest of Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE)- Sentia 2019 came to a grand closure on March 28 evening with a gala live performance from Bollywood playback singer Mika Singh.

The valedictory ceremony witnessed announcement of prizes for 68 events, that were conducted during the two days, wherein 1700 participants from 45 different Engineering and Management colleges across Karnataka participated.

The champions were awarded trophy with a winning cheque at the closure of the ceremony. The overall champions in the Engineering category was won by NMAMIT Nitte. The team also won a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The overall champions in the Management Studies were A J Institute of Management Studies, Mangaluru. The team won a cash prize of Rs 15,000.



The runners up in the Engineering category were given to the team –St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor. The team won a cash prize of Rs 20,000. The runners up in the Management Studies category was won by MSNM Besant Institute of PG Studies, Mangaluru. The team won a cash prize of Rs 8,000. The winners were announced for different categories by various guests from across the state from corporate, social life and various other fields.

The winners of the various music competitions were given the awards by the playback singer Mika Singh.

Chairman of the institute Rajesh Chouta presented the final awards and thanked all the participating institutes for the grand success of Sentia 2019. The show also witnessed various dance performances and a two hour music performance from playback singer Mika Singh.
