Mumbai, May 16 (IANS): Actress Guddi Maruti, known for movies like "Chamatkar" and "Biwi No 1", has joined the cast of "Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai", which is set in the 1990s. She will be portraying the role of the college principal in the show.
The show narrates the love story of Sameer (Randeep Rai) and Naina (Ashi Singh) who have started their college life.
"It was an exciting moment for me when the production house approached me for this role. I have been a part of multiple movies and shows on Indian television before but this is the first time that I am getting to be a part of such a unique show," Guddi said in a statement to IANS.
"It's a wonderful show that evokes nostalgia amongst the audience, including me. It took me down memory lane. I play the role of the college principal and she is a strict person. However, there will be instances wherein she will reveal her softer side.
"The look of my character is very simple and commands authority," added the "Doli Armaanon Ki" actress.
"Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai" is aired on Sony Entertainment Television channel.
