Clinton Cerejo forms band with Bianca Gomes

Mumbai, Apr 13 (IANS): Singer-composer Clinton Cerejo, in collaboration with singer Bianca Gomes, has formed a pop band named Shor Police.

The band led by Clinton and Bianca will have cutting edge music and a contemporary sound.

Bianca dons the co-composer hat for this project.

"The world needs a fresh outlook on pop. With this band, we aim to bring the fun back into the music and get audiences excited about the genre again," Clinton, Qyuki creator, said in a statement to IANS.

"It's also a much more accessible sound and a departure from my folk fusion side."

A pun on the term 'Chor Police', Shor Police also aims to give a fresh spin to cover songs and renditions.

Bianca said: "Our equation is fantastic and with this band, we aim to create great tracks that audiences will love listening to."

Earlier, Clinton and Bianca have collaborated in Bollywood and lent their voices to tracks such as "Manhattan" for the film "English Vinglish".

Clinton has also been a composer for tracks ("Lamho ke rasgulle" and "Hatt mullah") sung by Bianca.

They are currently associated with Clinton's solo fusion outfit called The Clinton Cerejo Band.

Shor Police's debut track "Anjaana" released on Friday across all digital platforms.

"The combined prowess of Clinton and Bianca is unique and will create a great impact in the pop music genre.

"We are excited to be part of this journey and be their supporters in every way," said Sagar Gokhale, Chief Operating Officer of Qyuki, which is a cross-platform media network across digital, live, TV and film.
