Amitabh Bachchan’s doctors ‘fiddling with his body’, reports suggest he’s ill

Mumbai, Mar 13 (DC): Amitabh Bachchan is in Jodhpur, filming for ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ and admiring the beauty of the night there.

But the megastar is in pain, probably even severe pain, as some of his tweets suggest so. It is also quite possible that he’s being operated on, as his blog mentions:

“I am getting my team of Doctors in tomorrow morning to fiddle around with my body and set me up again.. i will rest and keep informed in process..”

Big B is shooting for some action scenes in the movie also starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. So is he hurt on the sets?

And who can forget the fatal injury senior Bachchan had to face on ‘Coolie’ sets? Maybe that got aggravated and thus Amitabh now needs surgery?

Anyhow, news reports suggest he’s ill and thus doctors from Mumbai were rushed to treat him.

    I pity Amithab, who is slogging at 74, when he should have retired gracefully perhaps a decade and half back. The sole purpose is to feed his 40 year old jobless Son Abhishek & family, who ride in Amithabs name and surname. God forbid, the day Amithab hangs his boots , Abhishek & Aishwarya would be forgotten without any sympathy.

    Mr. Thomas,

    You must be kidding. Just today it came to the knowledge of the public that Jaya Bachchan has 1000 Crore assets. Do you think Amithabh will have less ? Why would his son needs to be looked after by his parents ? One joint endorsement (like Prestige) brings Abhishek & Aishwarya crores Rupees fee. Besides they have ABCL Corp that is managed by Abhishek.

    Well, its correct that Amitabh should have hung his boots but its all because they still want to be in the limelight than retiring to evening walks to the park with grand children to eat moong-fali. Do you think Jaya has monetary need to be in the RS ?

    @Russell,
    What would you have done if you were very rich; would you go to Government Hospital or local clinic?
    The reality is that health is the greatest blessing from the Almighty. Just a high fever will make you un- interested in any worldly matters.

    Amitabhji, you are over-exerting with your busy schedule. I wish you can take rest from acting also. Your health is more important than involving in films. You are an icon and Millions will remember you as a great, super star. Wishing you speedy recovery from ailments you suffer. @ 74 you cannot act as if your are 54

    Very true. It is high time AB took up some activity that is not adventurous or risky. Activities requiring physical exertion/strain could well be avoided at his age.

    Doctors were flown from Mumbai to Jodhpur to attend AB. Last week a 4 year old girl with high fever in Madhyapradesh while her parents were transporting her from a doctor to a hospital on a motorcycle with IV drips on, died on the way! All because of non availability of an ambulance when required. Non availability of glucose hasn't seem to have taught us any lesson. This is in a country that boasts of 121 super rich billionaires! Truly sab ke saath sab ka vikaas!!

    geoffrey,
    Question here is, are Indian voters intelligent enough to understand that PM Modi's slogan of "sabka saath, sabka vikas" is nothing but just a load of bakwas after seeing the performance of the Modi government and the state of affairs in the country in the last 4 years.
