Ridley Scott to direct 'Merlin Saga'

Los Angeles, Jan 5 (IANS): Filmmaker Ridley Scott is in negotiations to helm "The Merlin Saga".

The four-time Oscar-nominated director is in negotiations with Disney studio to helm the movie based on T.A. Barron's novel series, reports variety.com.

The script of the movie will be provided by Philippa Boyens.

"The Merlin Saga" is based on a young Merlin who becomes a mentor to King Arthur. It chronicles the complete story of Merlin's life and times spanning 12 novels.
