PM Modi to flag-off much-awaited Hyderabad Metro Rail on Tuesday

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (Zee News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much-awaited Hyderabad Metro Rail on Tuesday.

Ahead of the launch, the preparations and security of Miyapur Metro Station premises were duly reviewed by the Telangana government officials and the concerned minister.

The 30 km-long first phase of the metro rail project between Miyapur and Nagole, having 24 stations, would be launched by the PM at 2:15 pm at Miyapur station.

Its commercial operations would start a day after.

During its inaugural run, Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will travel by the metro from Miyapur to Kukatpally and back.

The trains would run from 6 am to 10 pm initially and the timings would be rescheduled to 5:30 am to 11 pm, depending on the traffic and demand, Telangana's Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao had said on Saturday.

The concessionaire, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd, has fixed a minimum fare of Rs 10 for a distance of up to two km and the maximum fare is Rs 60 for a distance of more than 26 km.

Each train would initially have three coaches and 330 people can travel in each coach. The number of coaches can be increased to six depending on the traffic, Rao had said.

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) would also start feeder services for the metro, he had added.

The Hyderabad Metro Rail project, touted to be the world's largest public-private partnership, started in July 2012. It was initially scheduled to be completed by June this year but the delay in land acquisition and other issues resulted in it overshooting the deadline.

Prime Minister Modi in his every public speech blamed 70 years of Congress ruling due to lack nation progress. But from "Mangalyaan to Hyderabad" metro he is the most readily available for ribbon cutting ceremony.
But in PM Modi's India real 'bullet' is blinding citizens in Kashmir and bullet train is running in Gujarat virtually. It is time for PM to retrospect his own statements and ask himself what has his government given to the nation in three and half years to the nation.

It should be noted that BJP renamed 23 Congress schemes and renamed versions of older schemes,
I am not mathematical genius. For any elementary level student from 1947 to 2017 makes 70 years to the Indian independence. I don't even know how Prime Minister Modi make his calculation having double graduation.

Though this project took awfully long time, mainly due to back out of the primary building contractors MAYTAS (which was the blacklisted SATYAM) L&T has done a great job to fast track this project, not to mention the push & help by the Telengana Govt and the NDA Urban Development Ministry.

All's well that ends well and Hyderabad deserving the accolades to become the 9th city to welcome Metro!

The real credit of any such development goes to the person who planned and laid foundation . Not to the person who wears luxurious clothes from tax payers money and do inauguration drama in front of paid media.,

    Inauguration is o.k.
Please honour each and every worker who toiled in hot sun, wet rain and cold winter to build metro bridges and tracks!
Give them all their due credit. Reduce inauguration expenses, keep it minimal and instead give them Diwali bonus!
Never neglect the contribution of workers. Without their contribution, metro wouldn't have been possible ever!
