Konkans Ireland enjoy merry Easter celebration

Ireland, Apr 24: Konkans Ireland recently celebrated Easter Sunday on April 16 at St Paul’s Youth Club, Artane, Dublin. It was attended by over 30 families across all counties in Ireland.

The day began with the Easter service Mass celebrated by Fr Suresh.

The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Fr Suresh, followed by members from different committees elected for this year.

The hosts for the day were Diana Sequeira and Eldric Dsouza.

Celebrations continued with various entertaining dance and singing performances from both children and adults. Some children played musical instruments like the guitar and the piano.



The highlight of the programme was the act 'Konkans TV' showcased to provide continuous encouragement to children to perform across all platforms. It was directed by Alwin Fernandes. The cast was Anna Sequeira, Akash Fernandes, Alwin Fernandes with Diana Sequeira (TV reporter) and Ajith Sequiera (camera man) from Konkans TV.

A delicious lunch was served by Karuna (Industhan Foods) which was relished by all.

The event continued with the Easter Egg Hunt for children.

It was followed by a vote of thanks, given by Diana Sequiera to all the members of the Easter committee for their continuous support to make this event successful.

The day ended with everyone dancing to the tunes of Mangalurean Masala.
