Australian journalist arrested over alleged child porn charges


Sydney, Apr 6 (IANS): An Australian TV journalist was arrested on Thursday over alleged possession of child pornography, a media report said.

Ben McCormack from the Nine News Network, was arrested from his home in Sydney and was taken to Redfern police station for questioning.

"Yes he has been arrested...At this stage I do not know what the allegations are," a lawyer told The Daily Telegraph.

Detectives also seized a computer from McCormack's workplace.

The network confirmed a police operation took place at the news headquarters.
