Stop backing militancy, Mehbooba tells Pakistan


Srinagar, Apr 4 (IANS): Pakistan should stop abetting militancy in Jammu and Kashmir and let peace return to the state, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said on Tuesday.

Addressing an election rally in Dooru where her brother Tasaduq Hussain Sayeed is contesting, she said: "Allow peace to return to Jammu and Kashmir by stopping abetting militancy."

She said unemployment was the main problem for the youths in the state. "Unemployment is the biggest challenge and we will address it effectively."

Tassaduq's main opponent is G.A. Mir of the Congress, who is the joint candidate of the Congress and the National Conference.
