Panaji, Mar 26: Film star and MP Govinda attracted thousands of people during the first campaign meeting of the Congress party held at Sankhali on Sunday.

This marked the beginning of the party's poll campaign in a big way, ahead of the assembly elections scheduled for May.

Besides Govinda, AICC general secretary Margaret Alva, AICC member Alka Lamba, chief minister Pratapsingh Rane and others were present.
