Tirumala, Mar 19: The Venkateswara temple here will be closed at 2100 hrs on Sunday in view of solar eclipse on Monday.

TTD sources said that the temple's ''Mahadwaram'' (main extrance) will remain closed from at 2100 hrs and would be opened at 0800 hrs on Monday.

After performing ''Sudhi'' (cleaning of the temple), the main door will be opened at 0800 hrs. The temple would be opened for public darshan after 1100 hrs.

In view of solar eclipse, the ''Arjita or paid worships like ''Tomala'', ''Archana'' and ''Archananandanadarshan'' and ''Visesha'' pooja will be cancelled.

However, the ''Suprabhata Seva'' will be performed at 0810 hrs in the temple.
