Panaji, Mar 16: To mark the World Consumer Rights Day on March 16, GOACAN, an NGO working towards popularizing the Right to Information Act and consumer right, organized a solidarity rally and dharna in the capital city to highlight the various consumer and civic issues in the state.
Various consumer forums from across the state participated in the dharna. Their main aim was to focus the World Consumer Rights Da's national theme, which said.."Empowering cosumers to assert their rights and pursue remedies".
They also highlighted the international theme which said.."Say 'no' to unethical promotion of drugs".
