Kundapur, Oct 24: A class X boy of Thekkatte was killed in a road accident that occurred on Nagodi curve near Kollur here on Monday October 23.

The deceased has been identified as Raghu alias Raghavendra (16), a class X student of Thekkatte Junior College near here.  He was riding pillion in one Koravadi Raghavendra Poojary's (30) bike.  They were coming back from Sagar when a private bus knocked down them down on Nagodi curve. As a result both of them fell on the road.  However, the bus passed on Raghu's face before he could recover.

But the rider escaped since he was thrown a little further.  Raghu was crushed to death on the spot while rider Raghavendra has been admitted to a hospital with serious injuries.

Raghu had gone to his father's house in Sagar along with Raghavendra of Diwali.  On Monday they were returning to Thekkatte when the accident occurred.

A complaint has been registered in the Kollur police station in this regard.
