Mangalore, Oct 24: Suvarna Karnataka Kalotsava 2006, a state-level children's festival of art and communication skills, being organized by Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education, will be formally inaugurated on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 9.am at Sandesha premises.
City's former mayor and Sandesha trustee P M Castelino will be the chief guest at the inaugural.
The festival which this year has been restricted to High School and PUC section students incorporates competitions in Track singing, Western singing( Solo), Western instrumental (keyboard) (solo); Classical singing (solo), Classical dance (solo); Most Talented Teenager, Folk Dance (group), Variety entertainment and Group dance on Awareness songs. The finale will be held on November 1, Rajyotsava Day.
