Mangalore, Oct 22: Popular religious band ‘Rex Band’ will organize a Rex Band Concert in city on Oct 23 at 6 pm.

Rex Band which is the first catholic band from the Indian subcontinent to be invited for the World Youth Day at Canada and Cologne will perform on St Aloysius College Grounds.

The show is organized by Jesus Youth, an international catholic youth moment. Admission to the show is free.

 

Over 25 professionals active in various fields with a distinctive talent in music and theatre comprise the Rex Band in honor of Jesus Christ. Experiencing the joy of liberating Christian music themselves, the band came together with a commitment to take this gift of quality Contemporary Christian Music and its message to the new generation. Evolving out of a life-changing encounter with Jesus, the band members are comfortable in using styles of the younger generation to reach out to today's urbanized youth through music albums, stage shows and encounter programmes.

The Band has made over 500 shows across India including Mumbai, Chennai, Goa,
Bangalore, Mangalore and more. It has also toured the UK in 2005 performing in Liverpool, London, Chesterfield and Belfast.

Their other tours include the US and Canada in 2002 performing in New York, New
Jersey, Washington, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Chicago and the Middle East, performing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
