Mangalore, Oct 2: Youth representatives from ICYM units of Kinnigoly deanery met at Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoly to elect new office-bearers of the deanery.

The election, which was to take place in May 2006 was postponed owing to the delay in appointment of deanery youth director for this year.

The recently-appointed director Fr Ronald D'Souza of Neerude parish officiated as election officer. He was assisted by Avil Rao the outgoing president of the deanery.  Fr. Elias D'Souza, the diocesan director, Jaison Soares, central committee president and Kevin D’Souza, the vice-president were present during the election.

The newly-elected office bearers are:
President:                  Glen D'Souza, Kinnigoly:
Vice-president (M):     Naveen Santhumayor, Neerude
Vice-president (F):      Tina Tauro, Kateel
Secretary:                   Lionel Serra,  Niddodi
Joint Secretary:          Sohan Sequeira, Pakshikere
Treasurer:                   Royson Pinto, Niddodi
Auditor:                       Wilbon Lewis, Bolkunje
Cultural Secretary:      Kevin Pinto, Kateel
Sports Secretary:         Nelson Fernandes, Kirem
Ex- President:             Avil Rao- Kinnigoly
