Mangalore, Oct 2: An unidentified couple was found dead in River Phalguni near Kulur here on Sunday October 1.

The reports said that the couple had tied their hands with each other with the help of a shawl.  While the man is said to be in his mid-forties, the woman is found to be in her late-thirties. It is however, not yet established, that whether they are husband and wife or lovers.

The bodies were found floating in the river on Sunday morning.  Having noticed this, the locals informed the police about the same.  Police arrived later and pulled the bodies to the river bank with the help of ferry boats. The bodies were in decomposed state indicating that they might have committed suicide at least 3-4 days ago.

The bodies are now kept in the morgue at Wenlock Hospital.  The Kavoor police have registered a case in this regard.
