Beltangady, Oct 2: Betangady varado ICYM Youth Council organized training on Konkani language and culture on Sunday October 1at Anugraha Auditorium of St Antony's Church, Ujire.
Ujire parish council secretary Francis Fernandes inaugurated the programme. Addressing the gathering he appealed the youth to encourage Konkani at least by reading Konkani magazines.
Beltangady varado youth council president Jyothi Correa presided over the programme while Ujire parish council vice-president Stella Franko was the chief guest.
Vice coordinator of diamond jubilee celebration committee Anil Lobo Fermai, Mangalore diocesan central council treasurer Ashwin Pereira, Gantalkatte, resource persons Stephan Quadros, Victor Mathias, Karkala, Beltangady varado youth council secretary Anita Moras, Ujire ICYM president Gilbin Pinto were on the dais. Clement Pinto compered the programme.
