Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar in its silver jubilee year has a bonanza in the form of two of its teachers selected for a Fulbright Fellowship to teach and study in designated US universities and schools for a period of six months.  They will also visit Washington, D.C. for their orientation and closing seminar.

Of the five teachers selected from South India for this International Educators’ Program of Fulbright-India, Shaji Philip and Bindu Jose are the two teachers of Little Rock selected for this rare honour.  They also happen to be the only two teachers selected from Karnataka State. To quote the words of Jennifer Gibson, Chief of the Teacher Exchange Program of the US Department of State, “The fact that you have been chosen for this award is a testament to your dedicated service to secondary education, and is international recognition for your excellence as teachers”.


The Principal of the School, Mathew C Ninan in a press note has expressed his hope that this will be a unique experience for the two teachers to visit many institutions in the US, and interact with outstanding educators from around the world.  They will be able to discuss and learn best practices from many institutions while they teach in US universities and schools of repute.  On behalf of the School, Prof Ninan has congratulated Shaji Philip and Bindu Jose on having come out successful in the tests and interview, and wished them well in their endeavours.
