Mangalore, Oct 2: Mangalore roads and traffic spares none. Sunday, Oct 1 saw the tragic death of two persons on Kuntikan junction.

But Fr Eugene Lobo, Principal of St Aloysius College had his stars on his side as he averted a major road mishap.

Fr Eugene Lobo who was returning from his home after visiting his mother on Sunday Oct 1 met with an accident. The Jesuit priest has been admitted to Fr Muller Hospital and is likely to be discharged in a couple of days.

At around 7 pm when Fr Eugene was on his two-wheeler, two dogs seemingly came on the way. He successfully avoided one, but could not dodge the other which came from the opposite side. Fr Eugene fell to the ground from his scooter and has sustained two minor fractures on his right hand.

He was operated upon at Fr Muller Hospital and is back to the ward.
