Mangalore, Oct 1: A state-level seminar on Value Added Tax (VAT) in India was organized by the SDM College of Business Management on Saturday.
The event was inaugurated by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mangalore branch chairman Praveen Kumar Shetty.
VAT has not been enforced in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, he said due to lack of uniformity among states.
Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Captain John Prasad Menezes who was the chief guest released the October issue of Sync Vision.
Principal of the college Devaraj K was also present.
