Puttur, Sep 19: The Sri Ram Sene activists led by state convener Arun Kumar Puttila laid siege to town police station here on Monday September 18 evening.  They complained that town police sub inspector had insulted Sri Ram Sene leader Shashidhar V N and had also damaged his scooter.

The protest was withdrawn after inspector S Mukund Nayak's entry.  He discussed the matter with the Sri Ram Sene activists and settled the matter amicably while assuring the protestors that such incidents will not be repeated.  The police sought an apology for their behaviour.  After getting this assurance from the police, Sri Ram Sene state convener and other leaders who participated in the protest agreed to withdraw their protest.
