Udupi, Sep 18: Young journalist, yakshagana artiste and social activist P B Srinivas Achar (35) passed away at his residence after a brief period of illness on Monday September 18 morning.
He was the stringer for Vijaya Karnataka in Brahmavar and surrounding areas. He had started his career as stringer for Karavali Ale before shifting to Usha Kirana and Vijaya Karnataka. He was also a yakshagana artiste and was well-known in the area. He had also written script for a few yakshaganas. He used to done the roles of women in the yakshaganas which had fetched him a lot of popularity in the region. He was also a freelance photographer.
He is survived by parents, a brother and sister.
