Mangalore, Aug 31: The national-level intercollegiate Commerce fest 'ACME-2006' hosted by the Commerce department of St Aloysius College began on Thursday, August 31 morning.

The fest was inaugurated by vice president - human resources of Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MCF) Apollo Fernandes. College principal Dr Eugene Lobo, St Aloysius institutions' rector Fr Francis Serrao, Prof A M Narahari and Manoj Louis of the department and student coordinators were present on the occasion.

Tashika and group of I BCom presented a graceful, contemporary inaugural dance. A total of 170 students from 17 colleges of India are taking part in the fest.

The valedictory function will be held on Friday, September 1, where MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik will be the chief guest.
