Mangalore, Aug 31: A delegation of the Muslim League submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner asking for the withdrawal of the ban order on animal slaughter at Kudroli slaughter house.

The delegation, insisting that according to the Food Consumption Act, the slaughter house should be allowed to function, complained about the lack of facilities for the transport of solid wastes.

The ban order was issued on the grounds of environmental pollution.

The delegation included Karnataka Muslim League organising secretary C Ahmed, city League president Haji Mohammed Sadiq, secretary V Abdul Khader, Mohammed Ismail and Hamza Bengare.
